We are facing modern society challenges regarding innovation in material engineering. Phase transformations commonly occur in nature and are used today in many technologies. This session intends to provide the opportunity to share recents researches works aiming at improving the performance of existing materials and developing innovative materials with optimized functionalities through a better understanding of their physico-chemical properties at different scales.
